Hello. My husband and I are traveling to Disneyland in Dec with our 3 year old and 1 year old. How much can little ones do in the parks? Can our 1 year old ride on the smaller rides with one of us? Any must dos/must sees with toddlers? Thank you!! :)

    Hi there Kelcee,

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Disney Parks Moms Panel; we are happy to help you with your vacation questions.

We have traveled to The Happiest Place on Earth many times when both of our littles were that age and let me tell you, there is magic and wonder for them to enjoy too! There are a lot of attractions with no height restrictions for kids of all ages to enjoy at the Disneyland Resort. Visit the Disneyland Resort website page for attractions that are age appropriate for Preschoolers, this will give you a fantastic guide.

Fantasyland in Disneyland Park is where we would often head to first. I highly recommend watching the show, Mickey and the Magical Map. We could watch this show multiple times, it's fantastic! Little Mouseketeers love watching the parades, just be sure to stake your viewing spot where the sun is not going to be in your eyes or the parade might not be as enjoyable for your young ones. Visit Mickey's Toontown, encourage them to touch, twist, and pull on anything in reach - most objects are meant for this and will have Disney Magic to it.

When you venture over to Disney California Adventure Park, head over to "a bug's land" where they will feel like they have shrunk down to bug-size. We love to hang out here and also Cars Land because you feel like you have stepped into the movies for each of these lands! Be sure to see Disney Junior - Live on Stage! your kids will love it.

I hope this helps, Kelcee. If you have any more questions, please write me back so I can help you plan your pixie dusted vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
