My husband, three girls, ages 2,6,&9, my mother and I are going to WDW for Christmas this year. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Any advice on how to get the most for our money at the resort and at all the parks with such a diverse age gro

    Hi Elizabeth!

You're going to love the Animal Kingdom Lodge! You may even feel as if you've all been transported to Africa!

First, my best advice is to make sure you plan some downtime at your resort. There is so much to see and do at the Lodge that its almost like its own theme park! When you arrive at the resort, you'll receive a calendar of events. The lodge offers activities like African Storytelling by the Firepit, an African musical parade for the kids, and Night vision goggle viewing of the animals at night.

To truly enjoy the resort, I'd also suggest exploring the building itself. Each trail of the lodge has different viewing areas complete with balconies and rocking chairs. You'll want to sit for a spell and enjoy! These are the perfect areas to grab a few moments away from the kids if anyone needs some quiet time!

As for the parks, the best two pieces of advice I have are: get to the parks as early as you can (the earlier the better!) and start each day with a plan. If you can look at the park maps before you arrive at Walt Disney World, you'll be able to plan which rides are the top priority for you and the family. Start each day off with these attractions, and then everything else you experience will be bonus!

Hope you have a wonderful trip!
