Ahoy, Stephanie!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney Cruise Line is a wonderful vacation option for families with sailors of any age! The cruise staff does a fabulous job of offering activities for all ages including toddlers! My son was around 18 months on our first Disney Cruise, and the memories I have from that first sailing are ones that I treasure the most. It was his first Disney experience and he loved interacting with the characters, dancing at the deck parties, eating ice cream, splashing around in the splash zone and visiting the
nursery onboard. Even though he doesn't remember all the magic he experienced, he loves to hear the stories, watch the videos and look at all the pictures I captured! The nursery onboard was wonderful when my husband and I wanted to enjoy the adult-only areas of the ship. There is a charge for the nursery services, and reservations are required. When we cruised, we made some reservations ahead of time and then added additional hours once we were aboard. The counselors were fabulous, and I loved that I could stop by any time to check in on him by looking through the two-way window! I could see the fun he was having without him even knowing I was there! It was the perfect option for our family at the time, and we were hooked after our pixie-dusted experience! My advice is to order the
free Disney Cruise Line Planning DVD, browse around the
Disney Cruise Line website and let us know if you have any further questions! Planning your first magical voyage can be overwhelming, but it will all be worth it when you hear the wonderful words, "Welcome Aboard!"
