My husband and I are thinking about going back to WDW without kids and would like to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge but it is kind of expensive. Can we stay there for the first two nights and then move to less expensive resort? Will they move our bags ?

    Tracy,

I understand where you are coming from, sometimes once you add all of the costs up, you need to make sacrifices somewhere.

I hope you can find a way to stay for your complete stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (either through saving, or better yet, finding a discount code), but in case you can't I have good news:  Yes, you can easily have your luggage moved between resorts.  I did this back in December and found it very easy and convenient.  All you need to do is to bring your bags down to bell services and they can have them tagged to be sent to your next resort.  One thing to be aware of though is that your bags might not arrive until late in the afternoon at your next resort (some time around 5:00pm is a reasonable expectation, I believe, but ask for more details if you have any concerns).

One other suggestion: You might want to first stay at the more economical accommodations, and then transfer to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  I know I would rather end a vacation at the nicer location.  It just seems like a better order to the experience, in my opinion.

    Good luck with your planning.
