My husband and I will be taking our 3 year old son to Disney in February for his birthday. We really wanted to celebrate his special meal at Chef Mickey but it is booked. Any ideas to have cake with Mickey somewhere else?

Hi, Kelly!  Besides Chef Mickey's, your best bet for running into Mickey Mouse at dinner is at the Garden Grill at EPCOT.  You'll find Farmer Mickey there with some of his good friends, often including Pluto and Chip and Dale.  I've also seen Mickey at breakfast and lunch at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom, and he's also usually at breakfast at the Polynesian Resort's 'Ohana.

If you're heart is set on Chef Mickey's, you can keep checking for reservations.  Things do come up and people have to make changes to their vacation itinerary, so you may luck into a spot.  I recently visited Walt Disney World and had to cancel a reservation while already on vacation for another really popular restaurant due to schedule changes.  You may be able to snag something right up to the time of your vacation.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you!  Don't despair, though, because you can always have a cake delivered to your room and celebrate with the people that most matter to your son!  Grab a birthday button, and head into the theme park to get that birthday picture with Mickey!
