Welcome aboard, Lorraine! My family and I have sailed many times with Disney, and every cruise has been magical. But, one of my favorites was when my husband and I snuck away for an adults only trip on the Disney Dream last year. It was our first time sailing without the kids, and let me tell you, it was fabulous!
Now, don't get me wrong, I love my children, and Disney certainly offers so many amazing family and kids activities on the ships. But, this time, we could take full advantage of all of the
adult exclusive activities and venues on the ship and really enjoy the cruise in a different way than we ever had before. Yes, there will be kids, but you will probably only be attending a few events where all the guests are together, like the deck parties and the Broadway-style shows. Besides that, hang out at Quiet Cove Pool which offers an entire section of the deck for adults only. The Quiet Cove Cafe is there too, with some really delicious specialty drinks and coffees, and of course, fabulous views! Be sure to book a meal at Palo or Remy too!
After dinner, the bars and lounges in
The District are reserved for adults only. If you're up for a club dance party, check out Evolution. Besides the club feel, you'll also get to view variety acts there. Of course, Skyline is a pretty hip spot to grab a drink and hang out with friends as the theme of the bar changes from the skyline of one city to another. I also love the unique atmosphere at Pink, the champagne bar onboard. Yep, it's pink and bubbly in there, and worth a stop!
So, make of this cruise what you'd like and don't worry that there will be too many kids around, because you'll be enjoying so many adult exclusive features, Lorraine!
Happy planning!
