Ahoy, Karla!
Thank you for cruising by to "sea" us with your question about your sailing aboard the Disney Dream! I consulted with my teen daughter about your question, and we both agree that there is plenty to do on the Disney Dream when the ship is in port! Your daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator will be chock-full of activities for the entire family. Your day in Nassau is a great opportunity to see one of the first-run movies in the
Buena Vista Theatre, compete against other families in Disney trivia, catch a movie on the Funnel Vision while lounging by (or in!) the pool, go for an exhilarating ride on the AquaDuck (the earlier the better!) and play a round of Goofy Golf on Goofy's Sports Deck! My daughter is a huge fan of Vibe, so she suggests your daughter spend time in there especially if they offer Sun Deck Fun! She always goes the first night for the icebreakers and loves being able to connect with other teens and the counselors. I encourage your daughter to do the same!
Another thought is to indulge in some pampering at the spa since the
Chill Spa offers mother/daughter treatments (spa treatments are offered for an additional fee). Reservations can be made onboard after 1:00 p.m. on embarkation day. I also recommend visiting Vanellope's Sweets and Treats. This adorable shop offers every dessert you can think of including some delicious sundaes for a nominal fee. It's the perfect mid-afternoon treat while aboard!
Karla, I think you'll enjoy experiencing the ship as your destination. You can even sleep in and enjoy breakfast in bed...it is vacation after all! Please let us know if you have any other last minute questions about your "Dreamy" cruise! It will be hEAR before you know it.
Have a magical time!
Nancy
