My husband and I will be taking our daughter to MK as a graduation present June 10th and this will be our first visit. I booked a character breakfast at The Crystal Palace for 8:10 am. If we are done eating before 9:00 am do we get to wander around MK?

    Hi Lisnette,

A Disney visit sounds like the perfect graduation gift. Congratulations to your daughter on wrapping up this phase of her education!

Most characters meals last about an hour. It takes that long for all the characters to make their away around to all the tables in the restaurant. If everything goes perfectly, it might be possible to finish a few minutes before 9:00, but it's unlikely that you'd have tons of extra time.

If you do happen to finish a few minutes early, you're welcome to explore the areas of the Magic Kingdom that are open. This will likely include Main Street and the "hub" area in front of the castle. Access to the individual Lands (Adventureland, Tomorrowland, etc.) will be roped off until the official park opening time.

Should you find that you're done early and are eager to get started on the rides, you should position yourself at the entrance rope to the Land of your first desired attraction. For example, if you want to go on Space Mountain first, then stand at the rope entrance to Tomorrowland when you're done with your meal. This will give you a minute or two "head start" over other guests when the park opens and you can be one of the first to ride the attraction that day.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
