My husband suprized me w/ a trip our dates are Sept 23rd to Oct 1st. I just realized that the Disney marathon is that weekend. Does that affect the amount of people in the parks? Will they be crowded, should we try and switch? Is there a plan to follow

    Hi Paula,

What a wonderful husband you have! I would not be as concerned with the runners as I would be with the other guests who will be experiencing opening weekend for the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.

This delicious event will have big crowds at EPCOT to sample delicious foods from around the world. If you really want to experience this event, which is free with admission to the park, I would switch to another week.

If you want to just experience the Walt Disney World Resorts with lower crowds, I would keep the week and tour EPCOT towards the beginning of your vacation.

    Have a magical trip!
