My husband and I are super excited to visit Galaxy’s Edge next year. Please can you tell us how entry works? Are there boarding groups for the land itself and then separately for the rides or does one boarding group access everything? Thanks!

Hi there, Shelley! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and asking your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

I am so excited for you and your husband to experience Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios! This all-new land transports Guests to the distant planet of Batuu to the Black Spire Outpost. Here, you will see locals, members of the Resistance, and soldiers of the First Order. You will also have the opportunity to sample some of the local cuisines, shop within the rustic bazaar, and even interact with some of your favorite Star Wars characters!

Currently, the only experience that utilizes the boarding group system is the recently opened Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. All other experiences are accessible without joining a boarding group! I do highly recommend you prioritize experiencing Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance as this is an absolutely mind-blowing attraction. The level of detail and immersion transplant you right into the battle between the First Order and the Resistance! In order to join a boarding group, you will need to download the My Disney Experience app. Once you and all members of your party have entered Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will be able to join a boarding group and receive notifications as to when you will be able to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

I would suggest arriving to Disney's Hollywood Studios as early as possible as boarding passes are limited and this attraction is incredibly popular!

I hope you and your husband have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
