Hello! My husband and I are staying at Saratoga Springs for 3 days (in Jan.) just to get away. We know we can walk to Downtown Disney, but what else can we do for fun besides swimming at the resort? We know deluxes offer lots of fun all on their own.

Hi Julie!  You're right that the deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World are a destination themselves, and the Saratoga Springs has lots of activities to keep you busy without ever stepping foot in the parks! The Saratoga Springs has a great Spa where you and your husband could get a relaxing massage or a facial. (Couples packages are available too. You can see details of the spa services on the spa webpage.)

At Horsing Around, you can rent bikes to pedal around the resort or equipment to play basketball, tennis or shuffleboard. At Community Hall, you can play board games, ping pong or foosball, or participate in arts and crafts or other scheduled activities.  If you play golf, the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is nearby. Head to the Turf Club to play pool, watch a sporting event while enjoying a drink, or have a great meal. Of course, you're right that the Saratoga Springs is just a short walk or boat ride away from Downtown Disney, which offers lots of restaurants, shopping and activities as well. To see a list of the activities available at the Saratoga Springs, visit the resort's activities page.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
