My husband and I are staying in one of the value resorts but are contemplating upgrading to a deluxe resort can we do that and just pay the difference we did not at dining so that would not be an issue.

    Hi Linda,

The exact answer to this depends on how you booked your room (through Disney directly, with a travel agent, through an aggregator like Orbitz), but in general, yes, if you upgrade your resort type, you'll simply need to pay the difference in cost between resort A and resort B.

I did something very similar during my most recent Disney trip. The reservation agent was very helpful and my upgrade was processed seamlessly.

To investigate whether you are eligible to change hotels and to get a quote on the price difference, you should call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY. They will be able to look up your file and tell you exactly what your options are.

    Good luck!
