My husband and I will be staying at Disney World for our 30th anniversary. We would like to renew our vows and have a nice dinner but do not want all the fanfare and cost of a traditional wedding/renewal. Is there anything to fit our needs and budget?

    Hello Sue Ellen,

Congratulations on your milestone anniversary!  My husband and I are celebrating our 40th anniversary this year and we did look into renewing our vows at the Walt Disney World Resort, but the packages offered did not meet our budget.  Wedding and vow renewal packages are also offered at the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Swan Resorts and are a bit less expensive, so you may want to check there, too.  The only other option I was able to come up with was to hire a local officiant to come to the hotel room and perform the renewal there.  Unfortunately, without purchasing a package from Disney, you are not allowed to have ceremonies performed on resort property.

If it's just you and your husband, pick out your favorite spot at Walt Disney World, say a few words to one another, affirm your undying love and end with a fairy tale kiss.  You and your prince can then head over to your favorite romantic restaurant to end the evening.  California Grill would be a perfect choice for your "honeymoon".  Set high atop Disney's Contemporary Resort you have an expanded view of the lights over Magic Kingdom and if you time it correctly, a front row seat to Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.

Wishing you and your husband a fairy tale experience and many more years together.

    Be Magical,

    Leanne T.
