My husband and I will be staying at Beach Club Villas in Oct. 2010., along with our 3 yr old son Would it be quicker to take the bus to Magic Kingdom, or drive there since we will have a vehicle on site?

    That's a tough call.

Let me start by discussing the other theme parks first. From the Beach Club, you are an easy walk to Epcot or a moderate walk or boat ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios. These are both good options, with no need for the car.

Since you have a car, driving to the Animal Kingdom is a good choice. You have no waiting around for the bus, and the Animal Kingdom parking area is quite close to the park itself.

The Magic Kingdom is trickier because the Magic Kingdom parking is not actually at the Magic Kingdom - it is at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) located near the Polynesian Resort. To get from the TTC to the MK, you have to take a boat or monorail. This means that there is still some possibility of a transportation delay. (Though monorail delays are much less common than bus delays.)  However, if you take the bus, you are brought right up to the front entrance of the MK, without the stop at the TTC.

I think part of your decision should be based on what you are doing for the rest of the day. If you're just going to/from the Beach Club, then the bus is probably your best bet. But if you are going from the MK to a resort for a meal, then taking the car will save more time overall.

    Have a great vacation.
