Hi there, Lisa! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Let's take a
deep dive into your question about your upcoming magical family vacation!
We've stayed at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort many times, and I can't think of a better place to spend a summer day than at the pool! However, to ensure that guests can enjoy their pool without overcrowding, Walt Disney World Resort only allows guests staying at that resort to use it. To access many of the pools on property, including the
Bay Cove Pool, you'll need to scan your
MagicBand or Admission Card.
Disney Vacation Club (DVC) owners are sometimes allowed to pool hop, but as of this writing, it has been suspended, and there is no word as to when or if it will be reinstated.
I know this is not the magical answer you were hoping for, but I assure you the grands will love the
Fuentes del Morro Pool at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, which is themed like a Spanish colonial fortress. I do have another fun suggestion for you, though! You can cast off with your crew in one of the
Sun Tracker® Pontoon boats from the marina located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. By the time of your trip, they may even bring back the Sea Raycer mini-speedboats. My boys absolutely loved cruising around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake a few summers ago, and it's a fun magical memory!
I hope this helps, Lisa! If you have any more questions, remember, we're all ears!
