Welcome to planDisney, Fran! It sounds like you are planning the practically perfect Walt Disney World vacation this holiday season. It truly is the most magical time of the year!
It sounds like your Prince Charming and mine could be best buddies! I often visit the parks with my youngest son while my husband hits the links. If you plan to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I advise just booking a Room-Only reservation. That way, you can
buy your tickets separately; with a vacation package, you'd have to buy tickets for everyone in your room for the length of your stay. Then, you can buy your husband a 1-Day theme park ticket, and you and your son a multi-day ticket. Once they are purchased, go ahead and link them to your
My Disney Experience account and make those
theme park reservations right away.
Make sure to schedule time to see the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Your son will love the
Holiday Cookie Stroll and the storytellers in the World Showcase Pavilion. Last year, I scheduled a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package at the
Biergarten Restaurant, and my husband and my two older sons met us after a day of golf at
Disney's Magnolia Golf Course (their hands-down favorite). It was such a memorable evening, and I hope it becomes a holiday tradition for us! Keep checking the
Disney Parks Blog for details on this must-do event to be released soon.
Fran, I hope your trip is a hole-in-one! Please feel free to write back if you have any more trip planning questions. See ya real soon!
