Hi! My husband and I are sneaking off to Disney without the kids this July for our anniversary trip. We have reservations at Ohana's on the 16th at 8:10 and I need some info about seeing Wishes and the Electrical Water Parade while there... Can you help?

    Hi Jennifer,

I LOVE grown-up getaways to Walt Disney World. I've done this with my husband several times, for our July anniversary.

I just checked the Magic Kingdom parks calendar for you. Wishes is being shown on July 16 at 10:00 pm. Dinner at Ohana should last somewhere between an hour and an hour and a half. That means that you'll be done in plenty of time to see the show from the Polynesian. When you're done with your meal, just walk downstairs and outside to the beach area and find a spot to watch. There are a few cozy hammocks on the beach. I'll keep my fingers crossed that one is available for you.

As for the Electrical Water Pageant, the show times do vary. You should stop by the front desk of the Polynesian on your way up to dinner to confirm the time during your visit. I is possible that the Pageant will run during your meal. If you happen to get seated by the window, you'll be able to watch the Pageant from your table. If not, you are certainly welcome to stand up for a few moments to watch by walking over to the window.

Have a WONDERFUL anniversary trip with your hubby. Enjoy!
