    My husband and I will be sailing on our 1st cruise this July celebrating our 20th anniversary:) Was wondering about how to pay for souvenirs. Can we use pre-paid visa cards or a Disney gift card? And how many can we connect to our stateroom? Cash? Thanks.

    Welcome aboard, Dawn! Congratulations on your 20th wedding anniversary! Celebrating by setting sail with Disney Cruise Line sounds perfect!

    As you check in at the port, you'll be asked to put a credit card on your stateroom account. You'll receive Key to the World cards which serve as your stateroom keys as well as your charging cards for the sailing, working on both the ship and at Castaway Cay. Use those to pay for souvenirs in the gift shops, adult beverages, or any other extras you'd like. These charges go on your stateroom account.

    If you have pre-paid Visa Cards or Disney gift cards, stop down to Guest Services to have those added as credits on your stateroom account. You can also call Disney Cruise Line before you set sail and have Disney Gift Cards added to your account. Just keep all the cards so that in case you have a remaining credit on the last morning, you will have the cards to see which one they credited the balance back on.
    Disney lets you call with up to ten gift cards per day, I believe, to add to your account or use to pay your cruise fare. When it gets closer to each of our cruises, I usually have saved quite a supply of Disney gift cards to pay off our cruise and add to our stateroom account. It's a great way to save for the cruise, Dawn!
