Hi Alison!
Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'll be running during Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend too!
Regardless of whether an Advanced Dining Reservation is before or after the park opens, theme park admission is required. This means if you planned on going into Magic Kingdom just to eat at
Cinderella's Royal Table and nothing else, you will still need a ticket. If you weren't planning on entering the parks that day and that changes your plans, there are plenty of amazing restaurants outside of the park. If you are looking specifically to meet a Princess I'd recommend checking out
Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk. For breakfast at this location you'll be able to meet Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel and, my personal favorite, Flynn Rider.
If Characters are not the main priority and some incredibly delicious Southern food sounds appealing, my first recommendation would be
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' at Disney Springs. It will be one of our stops this coming fall and I've heard literally everything on the menu is divine!
I hope you have a magical race and please let me know if you have any other questions!
