My husband is running the star wars 5k. I know it starts at 5:30am. I would like to make reservations for breakfast but not sure what a good time would be. We would need to go back for him to shower and change. I was thinking 8 am. Is this too soon?

Hello, Katie! Although I love helping all guests here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, I find it especially heartwarming to see a fellow Pennsylvanian here on our site. Welcome back!

First of all, I'm so excited to hEAR your Prince Charming (or should I say Hans Solo) is signed up for the Star Wars Rival Run 5K! I've participated in several runDisney events, and he's in for quite an experience! I recently ran the Disney Princess 5K with my 11-year-old son (who literally dressed up as Prince Charming to my Cinderella), so I'll base my answer on that experience. Depending on the corral he's in, he may not start exactly at 5:30 AM. We were in corral B, which started a few minutes later. In all likelihood, he should be crossing the start line by 5:40 AM. Factoring in a character stop or two, he will probably be done and back to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room no later than 7:30 AM.

If you plan on dining at your resort, you can schedule an 8:30 AM breakfast, but if you want to venture into one of the Parks or to another resort hotel, book a 9:00 or 9:30 AM celebratory meal just to be safe. I highly recommend telling him to sport his race bling all day as Cast Members and fellow guests love offering their congratulations! Here's one more Moms Panel tip: Consider adding Memory Maker to your vacation package to capture all those runDisney magical memories!

May the Force be with you, Katie!
