Me and my husband really want to see AKL and take my 2yo to one of the restaurants where she can see the animals in the savannah. Sanaa seems to have a more adult menu, and im a picky eater also. Can we see the animals at Boma? other activities at AKL?

    Hi Gina,

The only restaurant at Walt Disney World where you can actually watch animals while dining is Sanaa. I LOVE the food there, but if you're a super picky eater or not familiar with Indian-inspired flavors, then you may have some difficulty finding lots of options there. Boma is generally a better choice for fussy eaters. Since Boma is a buffet-style meal, you can take tiny portions before committing to an entire serving of an unfamiliar food. There are also some more typically American choices there as well.

While you can't see animals when dining at Boma, you are certainly welcome to wander around the Animal Kingdom Lodge if you dine there. There are many animal viewing stations both inside and outside the resort. You can take as much time as you like stopping there to look at the creatures. There may also be tours or wildlife experts there to explain what you're seeing. Stop by the front desk of the hotel and they'll be able to fill you in on the activities for the day.

If you visit in the evening, the Animal Kingdom Lodge also has some night vision goggles that are available to borrow, allowing you to see the animals and their night time behaviors. Most older children and adults that try these think they're super cool, but your two year old may have trouble understanding the night vision concept.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
