Hi Kelley,
Welcome to planDisney! Disney World has done a great job of catering to guests of all abilities. I recommend reviewing the new comprehensive website and the
Accessibility Planning Guide to see which services best suit your needs. This is a great resource for understanding which rides will accommodate your husband and how to best navigate the theme parks.
You can definitely accommodate having him join you at the attractions that he can ride without purchasing the
Lightning Lane Premier Pass for him as well. I recommend purchasing the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your husband and preplan the three rides that you all want to enjoy together for him. It is much cheaper and will ensure you all get to ride together without waiting in line. Since the Lightning Lane Premier Pass does not require a reserved entry time, you can all just head to the ride when his reserved time is up. Both of these passes will enter through the Lightning Lane, so you can all enter together and ride at the same time.
Another great option if you have a group of close to 10 people would be to plan a
Disney Private VIP tour instead of the Lightning Lane Premier Pass. The beauty of the tour is that they pick you up at whatever location you choose and can take you straight through the Lightning Lane at any of the four theme parks, all on the same day. Your tour guide will be able to keep your husband company while the rest of your party rides together and wow him with fun facts about the theme parks!
Happy Planning,
Jenna
