Hi Rachel!
Oh, I do love a wedding! And what better place to escape for a few days of magic and romance after the wedding than the
Walt Disney World Resort. There are plenty of
Disney Resort Collection Hotels to choose from and I have a few ideas for you that be just the right choice for your Disney Princess and her Prince Charming!
My top recommendation would be
Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter. The resort is themed for the stately mansions of the New Orleans French Quarter, is absolutely gorgeous, and comes with a moderate price tag! With lovely balconies decorated with wrought iron details, antique street lamps, cobblestone walkways, and lush gardens, this resort is often considered one of the most romantic choices on property. While there is an additional charge, the resort even offers horse-drawn carriage rides! I don’t know how you get more romantic than that!
If you are wanting to make the honeymoon even more affordable,
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is bright, fun, right on the
Disney Skyliner route, and is considered a value level resort. The Disney Skyliner offers gondola transportation to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot, and would even offer easy transportation to a romantic dinner at
Topolino’s Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort.
You could also consider some of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts, but perhaps book a standard view room to save a bit. Both
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge offer a Deluxe experience at a slightly lower price than other Deluxe resorts. And beginning this October, Guests staying at Disney’s Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts will be offered
extended evening hours. This would allow the happy couple more time to enjoy the theme parks!
I would recommend booking something at this point so that you know you have it booked, but then as the wedding approaches, check back on
Disney’s Special Offers Page to see if any discounts are offered for your dates. For autumn vacations, special offers are generally released in late spring or early summer. If availability allowed, you could then re-book at the discounted rate!
I hope one of these suggestions looks like the perfect choice for the happy couple. And I hope you’ll return with more questions as you plan their honeymoon. We can make dining recommendations or suggest some
Enchanting Extras to make their visit even more magical!
Happy Planning!
