Hiya, Julie! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy, I'm so excited to hear that you and your husband are planning on visiting
Walt Disney World Resort – and soon! My husband and I often visit just as two adults, too, and I think you're going to have the most magical time together. I'd love to help you get started with your planning!
- First, you'll want to reserve your vacation package, which includes your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets. You'll be prompted to first pick your dates, then your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. If your dates are flexible, sometimes just shifting your vacation by a day or two can open up a whole new world of options! Then, you'll select your theme park tickets. Decide which tickets are right for you (you may wish to visit one park per day, or even upgrade to the Park Hopper Option).
- Next, make your theme park reservations with the Disney Park Pass system. This is an important step to reserve the parks you'd like to visit on each day of your trip! Since availability can be limited, I'd recommend making these reservations as soon as you're able. You can also take a peek at the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to make sure your desired parks are available for your dates!
- Then, consider adding any extra magic! For example, you may choose to make some advance dining reservations at a few restaurants. You also can decide if you'd like to purchase a MagicBand (or MagicBand+) for you and your husband before your trip! If not, you can always use the Disney MagicMobile service on your mobile device or ask the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel for a complimentary Key to the World Card.
- Last, download the My Disney Experience app in preparation for your trip! This app feels a little like holding a magic wand in your hand, unlocking everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even mobile order food. This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun!
Of course, if you'd prefer to have a little more assistance in booking your trip, you can always
call a Cast Member or do an online search for an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. This is a special distinction given to agencies and agents who should be knowledgeable and experienced with Disney destination vacations.
