My husband and I are planning a vacation with my son and his three daughters, 2,5,6. We are trying to keep the hotel cost down, Our agent has suggested the all star resorts. Can I get some feedback of the pros and cons, as she cannot give us any.

Hi, Bonnie!  Are there six of you going?  You may want to consider Disney's brand new Art of Animation Family Suites.  You will find the suites as well at the All Star Music resort, but they are awesome for families!  You'll have one bedroom, that you can close off for some privacy, then you'll find fold out options for another four people in the living room area.  There are two full bathrooms and a kitchenette area, with microwave and small refrigerator, which allows you to save some money by planning a quick breakfast or snacks in the evening at your room.

As for pros and cons at the All Star resorts, I find them to be comfortable, well appointed value rooms.  The resorts are brightly colored and have all sorts of large icons that are interesting to children, and they have a food court and gift shop for you to grab a quick meal or some essentials or souvenirs.  If there is a con, the bus service is a bit busier at the All Stars, but they seem to try to put extra buses in service to the resorts when it is especially busy.

You won't have room service, but you can get pizza delivery, and there is not a full service restaurant on property, only the food court.  I don't think those are cons, just things you may want to be aware of.

Have an absolutely wonderful time with your family!
