My husband and I are planning a trip to WDW in June of 2009. This will be MY first trip there. We have a 5 and 3 year old, and are torn whether or not we should bring them because we would like to go on adult rides. Is there a way to do that?

Hi, Pennie!  How exciting to be taking your first trip to Walt Disney World!  I'm sure you can't wait to get there!

There are a couple of options open to you in terms of your children and your ability to ride on adult rides.  You can utilize the child swap option, which allows you to wait in line once, you ride while your husband waits with the children, and then when you are done, he hands the children off to you, and he can ride without having to wait in the line all over again.

Another option for some of the adult rides is the single rider line.  Not all of the attractions offer this, but for those that do, one of you can wait with the children while the other gets into the single rider line.  The line fills in the empty single seats, and tends to move more quickly than the regular line.

Alternatively, you could plan an adult's only day, and hire a sitter for your children.  We have used Kids Nite Out in the past with great success.  You can visit them at their website for rates and information at www.kidsniteout.com .  They provide in room childcare, and the sitters show up with games, toys, crafts - all kinds of things to keep your children busy!  They are very professional, and my middle daughter always asks us to take a night out without them and bring the sitter in!  They actually are available all day long, and if you have park hopper passes, you can go from park to park and hit all of the grown up rides while your kids are being entertained by the sitter!

Have a wonderful trip, whatever you decide to do!
