My husband and I are planning a trip to DW in the Fall 2011. Our girls will be 3 and 6 at the time. I was thinking the first week of October. How is the weather that time of year? Also will it be decorated in Halloween decorations??

    Hi Mary Beth!

I think you've picked a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World! October is very high on my list of times to visit (it may even be #1 - its just so hard to make a decision!)!

In October, the Florida sun and humidity have tempered quite a bit from their peak during the summer months - but its still warm enough to enjoy pools and water rides. During the day, we find that its still shorts weather for us, and will often keep a light sweater handy for nighttime (or cool air-conditioned restaurants).
We find that we're still often hot enough to enjoy a dip in the pool in the afternoon, as well.

During the past few years, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is in full swing by October. This means that the Magic Kingdom will be sporting some incredible decorations. During party nights, additional touches are often added for even more of that Halloween feel!

I hope you have fun planning your trip for next year! Be sure to stop by the Moms Panel if we can help you with any more ideas for your trip!
