Hi! My husband and I are planning our first ever no kid Disney trip for September, 2025. We are looking for ideas for experiences geared more for adults. Also, which restaurant would you suggest for a special celebration?

    Hi Regina! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh, how much fun! To paraphrase everyone's favorite couple, Mickey and Minnie, nothing can stop you now! You'll travel hand in hand across this wonderland, strike up the marching band, because nothing can stop you now! You're setting off for some seriously magical adult-only fun, and I'm happy to help with a few suggestions.

I actually just returned from my latest adult-only getaway with my husband, and we had such a great time! Let's start with experiences.

If you're looking for relaxation, the Grand Floridian Spa offers pampering and luxurious fun right in the heart of the magic. (Swoon!)

It looks like you'll be in town just in time for the start of the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! This event is a culinary adventure. Where else could you spend a day experiencing authentic foods from around the globe? You'll enjoy taking your time to savor the sights, smells, and, most importantly, the incredible tastes from different cultures!

Consider going on a Disney Monorail crawl! It's a fun way to tour the Resort hotels along the Seven Seas Lagoon. I'm planning to do this with my friends soon for a fun night out. You might start at the Enchanted Rose at Disney's Grand Floridian for appetizers, then head to Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary for your dinner reservation. To wrap up the evening, stop by Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace at the Polynesian.

Be sure to check out the Enchanting Extras Collection. This is my husband and my go-to list when we are looking for some extra special magic. You'll find everything from the famous Keys to the Kingdom Tour to a horse-drawn carriage ride.

Regina, when it comes to special dining, Walt Disney World is the perfect place to be. You can find a wide range of options, from ultra-luxurious experiences to laid-back yet delicious meals. I highly recommend California Grill, Narcoossee's, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and the renowned Victoria & Albert's for a more romantic atmosphere. If you prefer a more relaxed setting, my husband and I absolutely LOVE Via Napoli at EPCOT.

Before I sign off and let you make your plans, I want to share my favorite adult-only trip experience at Walt Disney World: the fireworks dessert parties at Magic Kingdom. You would love it! You can choose between a pre-party or a post-party, which offers a perfect reserved viewing location for Happily Ever After in the Plaza Garden, right in front of Cinderella Castle. There's also the Seats & Sweets party at Tomorrowland Terrace, where you can enjoy the nighttime spectacular from your seats. All three options include a buffet of delicious desserts and drinks. It's a truly special experience!

I know I've given you a lot of suggestions, but I hope this helps you find the perfect offering to fit you and your husband's style. I'm wishing you the MOST FUN! Please let us know if we can help again, and follow us on Instagram for even more tips. We're here to help.

    Happy planning,
