My husband and I are planning on going to the Boathouse on my birthday for our trip to Disney World. My reservation is at 9:45. the hours advertised says they close at 10. There are no other reservations available. I dont want to go before closing. Help?

    Hi Victoria!

Happy early birthday! I have celebrated my last two major milestone birthdays in the Disney Theme Parks, and I was having too much fun to even give a second thought to that silly number.

The BOATHOUSE: Great Food, Waterfront Dining, Dream Boats at Disney Springs is a great choice for a birthday celebration, Victoria. I’m sorry that the time isn’t what you were hoping for. Sometimes, dining closer to closing has advantages. Because there won’t be another group waiting on you to finish, you may find you are less rushed, and the restaurant may have a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere as the evening winds down.

If you would like to try to change your time, I do have a few suggestions. First, check dining reservations regularly. People can and do cancel, and so table availability changes. Especially if there are only 2 of you, your odds of finding another table between now and then are good. Alternately, since The BOATHOUSE is a third-party location, you can also check for tables on the OpenTable website. While I don’t know which day exactly you are looking for, when I use OpenTable to search for a table for 2 during the week of your arrival, I see many nights with earlier options.

I hope with one of these methods you can find a table at a time that better meets your needs, but if you don’t, I am sure your birthday dinner will still be magical later in the evening.

Sending pixie dust for that perfect reservation, Victoria!
