My husband and I plan to surprise my grandparents in January by coming down to attend disney with them. I was wondering if there was a package last year for The week prior to Martin Luther King day so i can plan what it might cost me?

    Hi Tara!

I'm quite sure that your grandparents would be thrilled to pieces to see you and spend a vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Last year, there were several special offers available for guests traveling the week prior to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. For Annual Passholders and Florida Residents, there was a 30%-40% room discount, which was released in September of 2011.  In August of 2011, Free Dining was offered for guests traveling in January and February of 2012.  There was also a room discount for the general public offered in October of 2011 for stays during the months of January and early February.

Truthfully, it is unknown what, or IF, any special offer will be released for any particular time of travel.  My best recommendation is to keep checking the Special Offers tab of the Walt Disney World website to see which promotions are currently active.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
