Ahoy, Jeff!
I'm sure your crew can't wait to soak up some Bahamian sun when you visit
Disney Castaway Cay. And I can't think of a better way to start your day in Disney's paradise than a run around the island. All the information you'll need to sign-up will be listed in your cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator so keep an eye out once you are aboard. You will be able to make a reservation at
"it's a small world" nursery! for the run since one of your Mouseketeers is not quite old enough for Scuttle's Cove. Just swing by the nursery the first afternoon to let the youth counselors know that you and your husband both plan on running and that you'll need to bring your little one early on the Castaway Cay morning.
The great thing about the pier in Castaway Cay is that it's not too far from where you'll be running so there will be plenty of time to head back to the ship to pick up your youngest sailor, shower off and change into your beach attire. You'll have the rest of the day to play in the water, build sandcastles and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch at Cookies. If you don't have any other activities planned, I highly recommend a
bike ride with your crew! There are bikes of all sizes including ones with training wheels and child seats. If you do go out for a ride, be sure to take your camera so you can stop by the Observation Tower for an amazing bird's eye view of the island and the Disney Fantasy! Your kiddos will love it!
Thank you so much for cruising by with your question. Please keep in touch as you continue to plan for a magical week aboard Disney Cruise Line!
