Husband and I are on our own this trip and have tickets to Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party, but on a MIckey's Party night. TTDP makes sense as it is just the 2 of us this trip, but does it make sense with Mickey's party? Trying to save money if we can

    Hi, Heather!

How wonderful that you're planning a couples-only trip! While most people think of Walt Disney World Resort as a "family vacation destination" (and it certainly is that!), it's also a fantastic place for an adults-only sojourn! There are so many incredible shows, restaurants and tours to enjoy together and it's really a totally different experience without the kids. I'm sure you're going to have an amazing time!

I personally would advise against doing the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party on the same evening as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, particularly if you are keeping a close eye on your overall budget. The Party only lasts 5 hours (from 7:00 PM to midnight) and the evening passes like a flash. Since you're already paying extra for the Party tickets, you'll no doubt want to maximize your time and value by experiencing as much of the exclusive live entertainment as you possibly can during the Party. With Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, Holiday Wishes, Celebrate the Season show, and dance parties and other shows -- not to mention all the fun meet-and-greet opportunities with Disney Characters dressed in their holiday finest -- your evening will already be plenty full without trying to squeeze in the Fireworks Dessert Party!

So my recommendation would be to enjoy the Fireworks Dessert Party on another evening if it's truly a "must-do" experience for you and your husband during your stay.

Please visit us again here at the Moms Panel with any other questions as you continue to plan your trip.

Wishing you a magical couples-only vacation!
