My husband and I own a house in Florida and live there part of the year. If we have grandchildren visiting us, can we purchase Florida resident tickets for them? They range in age from 5 to 15. They live in Michigan.

Hi, Darlene!  Here's the deal with Florida resident passes.

First of all, for you to purchase Florida resident passes, you will have to have proof of Florida residency.  The accepted proofs of residency to purchase a Walt Disney World pass include a Florida drivers license, a state issued ID card, or a Florida based military ID card.  If you don't have any of those things, you could use a CURRENT (within the past two months) mortgage statement, utility bill, homeowners' or car insurance bill, and mail from a financial institution or the government.  You could also use your Florida vehicle registration.  You will still need a photo ID indicating that you are the person receiving the statements or bills.

Children under 18 are not required to show any proof of residency.  As long as you can provide proof of Florida residency from the list above, you can purchase tickets for the children with your resident discount.

I hope you enjoy taking your grandchildren to Walt Disney World!
