My Husband, his mom and I are taking our 1 year old to disney for the second time this year. We are traveling sept 5th-10th 2011. What can we expect for crowds and weather? Do you have any tips for traveling this time of year with a little one?

    Hi Lindsey!

I think you've picked a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World! Your September vacation starts on Labor Day, which is a great time to take advantage of an extra day off from work (I hope!!). Even though this is a holiday, its typically not a very crowded one. Most schools are back in session, or heading back to school during this week, which means it can be a pretty low attendance week.

Weather-wise, Florida can still be pretty hot in September - It will be a great idea to take some afternoon breaks indoors or in the pool!

With a young one (hey, and adults too!), it will be very important to take frequent rest breaks and frequent water breaks. The best plan of attack for the park will be to be up early if you can! The earlier you can be at the parks the better - I'd even suggest a character breakfast in the park before the official opening time! That way you can beat the crowds, enjoy the cooler weather and start your morning off right!

Hope you have a great vacation!!
