Ahoy, Arlene!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm thrilled to hEAR you and your husband will be casting off for
Bermuda when the
Disney Magic returns to the Big Apple this fall. My family and I sailed on the very first cruise to Bermuda this past October, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. It's a breathtaking island, and we were intrigued by the history and culture we learned on our Port Adventure. We also loved being in port overnight and getting off for some unique pictures of the Disney Magic all aglow!
Arlene, I think your husband will find the ship quite easy to navigate with his walker. I've seen many cruisers using walkers in the hallways and public areas without any issue.
Port Adventures typically meet on the ship, so y'all should not have a problem getting there to check-in. The Cruise Staff will be there to make sure you are in the right place and will be able to assist you with the disembarkation component. Most times it takes place via the stairways for excursions, so they'll be able to guide you to the closest elevator so you can meet your group on the pier. Disney Cruise Line does have a Special Services Team that you can reach out to if you wish to get some more information about maneuvering the ship with mobility issues. You can call them at (407) 566-3602 or by email at SpecialServices@disneycruise.com.
Bermuda awaits, Arlene! Your
Halloween on the High Seas adventure will be hEAR before you know it. Please let us know if we can assist you with any other questions about your enchanted journey with Disney Cruise Line.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
