My husband is military and carries a small firearm where he can. Will he be able to bring it with him and have security at our resort store it for us while we are there?

    Hi Shannon,

First and foremost, thank you and your family for your service. We are grateful for the sacrifices that you and your husband make every day to keep us all safe. Disney World has adopted policies to keep all guests as safe as possible. As a result, Guests are not permitted to have firearms, ammunition, knives, or weapons of any kind at or in Disney Resort Hotels and Disney Vacation Club Resorts, including in hotel rooms, units, vacation home villas, and general public areas within the hotels and resorts.

I hope that you will be taking advantage of all the military discounts available on your visit. If you haven't checked them out, be sure to do so before you finalize all of your plans. Disney World proudly offers specially priced tickets for Eligible Service Members and their spouses. Eligible Service Members include both active and retired members of the US Military! Disney Military Salute Tickets can be purchased at participating US military sales outlets. These tickets are nontransferrable but can be purchased for your personal use and for your family members or friends who accompany you to Disney World. One of the great perks of buying these at your local military base is that they often have even better prices than what is listed for these tickets online! I would check with your local office to see what price they charge and what valid military identification they will require when you purchase your tickets through them.

Make sure to also add Memory Maker to your vacation for the low price of $98 through December 19, 2025. This is a fabulous way to get pictures taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers in front of epic backdrops throughout your vacation. The bonus is that everyone gets to be in the picture! This is normally much more expensive so it is a great deal only available to military families. To get this set up visit a ticket counter or Guest Services on your way into the theme parks and they will add it to your account.

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
