My husband is on a medically restricted diet. Who should I speak with regarding this issue?

Hey there, hi there, Diane! Thanks so much for trusting us to answer this really important question. We want to make sure your husband has a safe experience as he dines around Walt Disney World

In many circumstances, Diane, Disney already has protocols in place to address many special dietary requestions. There are allergy-friendly menus available at the restaurants, and a quick conversation with a trained member of the culinary team at any of the dining experiences at Walt Disney World can help you find menu items that are low in fat, carbohydrates, and sodium, as well as plant-based options and no sugar added choices. You'll also find that each restaurant listed on the Walt Disney World website will have an up-to-date menu from that restaurant, so you can browse in advance what might be available when you go. While menus are subject to change, looking ahead of time will give you a good idea of what you may encounter at any of the restaurants.

For more extensive allergy issues, medically restricted diets, or even pureed meals, you can reach out via email to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. You'll be able to explain your husband's specific needs, and they will talk with you about how they can best go about making sure he can safely enjoy his meals.

I hope this takes some of the stress out of your vacation planning, Diane. I wish you a practically perfect trip when you go in September.
