My husband and I will be making a trip to WDW with our 3 year old and 2 grandparents this summer. Are the villas our best options for 2 bedrooms... or is there a viable hotel option?

To me, the villas are a wonderful option because not only do you get more bedroom space, but you also get some separate living room and kitchen space. Also, with most of the villas, you get a wonderful jacuzzi-type tub in the room. I am not big on doing household chores while on vacation, but I have always found it very helpful to have the in-room washer/dryer at the villas. With little kids, accidents and spills are inevitable, and the ease of access to a washing machine make this much easier to deal with.

That being said, there are many other hotel options at WDW. Every Disney resort has some sort adjoining room situation where your rooms could be connected by an internal door. (You need to request this when you make your reservation.) Also, many people find the new All Star Music Family Suites to be a cost-effective alternative to the villas.
