My husband and I are looking to stay at Aulani next year! We always purchase the DDP when staying at DW and love it! Is there any dining plans like that for Aulani? How does it work? Thank you!

Aloha Alicia, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Hawaii is one of my favorite vacation destinations. When I step off the plane in the islands, the first thing that I notice is the air smells sweet thanks to the lush flora. I can almost envision it right now!

Did you know that Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa was recently named as the #1 Best Hotel or Resort for Families, 2018 from HAWAI’I Magazine? How awesome is that? And YOU get to vacation there! Can I jump on a plane and join you??

You have a bounty of dining options to choose from at the Resort, but unfortunately, there is not the equivalent of the Disney Dining Plan at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. But! You can enjoy a delightful Disney Character Breakfast or buffet dinner of international flavors with Disney friends, JUST like Walt Disney World Resort! Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands is a family-friendly restaurant that overlooks a koi pond and the Waikolohe Pool (I can’t think of a more idyllic setting!). There you can celebrate the “harvest” (Makahiki) season with some of your favorite Disney Pals at breakfast. If you prefer a buffet dinner, return Sunday, Monday, or Thursday evening for fresh locally-sourced food with Uncle and friends.

If you’d prefer a more exclusive Character Experience, Disney Vacation Club members can pose with Mickey and Friends most Tuesday,s Fridays and Saturdays in the Luana Lounge. Make sure to check the Daily ‘Iwa for more information, and bring your Disney Vacation Club Member Card and photo ID.

Alicia, If you have any other questions, please swim back! As Travel + Leisure magazine stated, at Aulani, “the magical details are plentiful.” I know you and your family will find your legend there.
