My husband and i live in Orlando and his little sister who is 14 and lives in miami will be staying with us for her spring break. We were going to get her the Fla discover pass for when she's here. Can she use her school id to prove she lives in Miami?

    Hi Caroline,
How fun to be taking your sister-in-law to the Walt Disney World Resort for spring break! I'm a Florida resident, just like you and we have four kids in our family; the oldest is around the age of your sister-in-law. In my personal experience, when purchasing park tickets for minors, no identification is required. They will ask for the ticketholder's date of birth and probably your driver's license (so if she loses her ticket, they can find and replace it easily) and go from there. The Cast Members will take your word for it that she is a Florida resident.

    Have a great time!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Florida

I’ve grown up in Central Florida and have been visiting Disney Parks for over 30 years. Now that I’m a mom myself of a blended family with four kids, I love sharing Disney’s year-round special events with my family. Some of our favorite events are the Flower and Garden Festival, Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Let me help you plan something extraordinary for your next Disney Parks vacation! Learn More About Amy
