My husband and I want to take our 3 kids (5.5 and under) to Space 220 lounge, if we can get reservations, but I am wondering if the lounge is kid friendly and can hold a reservation for 5 people?

Hello, Megan! Welcome to planDisney! Do you know why Mickey Mouse went to outer space? He went to find Pluto (hehe). All space jokes aside, I really hope you get to experience being in outer space at Space 220.

Get ready to "blast off" from EPCOT and stargaze 220 miles from Earth! The Space 220 Lounge has a stellar kid-friendly atmosphere, and I was lucky to snag a last-minute reservation for myself and my 13-year-old son over the holidays. I saw the staff rearranging two and four-top tables to accommodate larger party sizes when I was there. I enjoyed it so much that I plan to return there this summer with my entire family, and like you, we are a party of five. I've been doing lots of research, and it sounds like you will better your chances if you book two reservations of 2+3. If your husband has his own My Disney Experience account, I suggest having him make one of the reservations, and you can do the other. If you can't get matching times, don't worry; try to get overlapping ones within 10-15 minutes of each other. Then, when you check-in, ask to be seated next to each other if possible. This is a tough reservation to get, so if you don't get one at launch time, be persistent and keep checking the website daily.

I like sitting in the lounge because you can select items a la carte from their small bites menu or come just for some drinks. Our server also told us that we could order off the restaurant's prix fixe menu as well. I recommend the Blue Moon Cauliflower with the freeze-dried Blue Cheese Dust; even my non-vegetable eater loved it! If you are a "meteor" (or meat-eater, or earthlings say), I think you'll also enjoy the Short Rib Sliders. Are you planning to order an adult drink? Try the Atmospritz, which comes with its own Cotton Candy Cloud! Your junior astronauts will enjoy the Moon Rocks drink adorned with Pop Rocks- it also comes with trading cards, which have trivia facts about space exploration.

I know your trip this summer will be heavenly, Megan! Please write back if there's anything else you need. See ya real soon!
