My husband and I honeymooned at WDW and are excited to be returning in April 2015 with our 2 kids to celebrate our 25th anniversary. On previous visits families were lucky enough to ride in the parades and I wondered how I could arrange this as a surprise

    Hi Kevin!

Congratulations on your silver wedding anniversary!  How wonderful to be spending your special day at the Walt Disney World Resort with your family.  I wish I could tell you that riding in the parade or being chosen as Family of the Day to open the theme parks, was as easy as scheduling them ahead of time. Unfortunately, these experiences are not something that can be pre-arranged.  It is simply the luck of the draw that gets your family chosen to be part of the magic.  My family was chosen to open Magic Kingdom one morning and I cannot even tell you how we got picked, other than we were at the park very early to attend a behind the scenes tour.  At best, I can tell you to ask a Cast Member at Guest Relations when you enter the park and see what they say.

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel.  Enjoy your anniversary celebration and wishing you magical memories to last a lifetime.

Walt Disney captured my heart as a little girl and has not let go since. As a parent and grandparent, I have been to the Walt Disney World Resort with children of all ages, and also as empty nesters. I would like to share my years of experience so that you are able to start your own tradition of Walt Disney World memories, just as I have. Learn More About Leanne
