My husband and I are heading to WDW in 7 days (YAY!!) with our two sons and our nephew, ages 10, 9, and 2. Do you have any advise on how to make sure all the boys enjoy themselves since they will obviously want to see and do different things? Thank you!!

    Hi Sarah,

Seven days until you visit one of my favorite vacation destinations! I love the Walt Disney World Resorts in October!

When we go on vacation with different age children in our group, we allow each child to pick three must see and do's at each park. We guarantee that those things happen and that anything else is sprinkles on a sundae. There is also no complaining about the other's choices.

I would have the 10 and 9 year old look at the Disney website and plan what attractions they want to do at each park. Of course, make sure they meet the height requirements so there are no disappointments the day of your vacation. It is a great way to get them involved in the planning.

As for your two year old, provided there are no height restrictions, he should be good to go on many of the same attractions. So if someone picks Pirates of the Caribbean, bring him along provided the dark will not scare him.

If there are attractions the little one can not go on, look for alternatives in the area. For example, if the big kids are going on Space Mountain, the People Mover might be fun for the two year old or head to Dumbo and meet up later.

My girls, 17 & 15, will still go on the "little kid" rides if their little cousins want too as they are really little kids themselves!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
