My husband and I are heading to the Food and Wine Festival. We want to avoid using the disposable silverware. Can we bring real silverware in to the parks?

Hi, Jill! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question! I admire your focus on conservation while visiting Walt Disney World Resort. The Resort as a whole has done a great job at eliminating waste in specific areas, such as offering paper straws instead of single-use plastic and giving guests the option to utilize reusable shopping bags instead of the standard plastic bags. Using these bags is a really great choice and ours have gotten a lot of use here at home this summer! I just couldn't resist the Epcot-themed one and love having that extra bit of magic with us as we make our grocery runs.

While sampling all of the treats at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, one can go through quite a few disposable utensils! You are welcome to bring your own from home ... within reason, of course. I wouldn't try to bring your sharp steak knife from home! Security may have a bit of an issue with that one! I find that the overwhelming majority of dishes can be handled with either a fork or spoon, so I recommend you keep your wares to those options.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
