My husband is "goofy" enough to run the goofy challenge in 2011. I would really like to see him run inside the Magic Kingdom but it looks like the park opens at 9am on the day of the marathon. Is there any way my family can get in early to see hi

    Hi Sarah,

How awesome for your hubby! A number of my fellow Mom Panelists have actively taken up running since joining the Panel and a few of them are currently training to run in the upcoming January Disney marathon. While I am not a runner, I have been tagging along as a spectator and am happy to tell you that you will be able to cheer on your "Goofy" runner right from Main Street itself.

While the park is not open at the time of the race, guests will be allowed entry into certain sections of Magic Kingdom and Main Street to cheer on the runners. Information will be available at Disney resorts, about monorail or bus use to take you to the Magic Kingdom on the morning of the event. Once at the park, Cast Members will be directing the crowds to the designated viewing area. It was a great experience to be able to cheer everyone on, and my friends have told me a number of times how much it meant to them to see all the cheering, clapping, smiling fans.

Wishing him a fantastic event weekend!
