My husband and I would like to take our five children to WDW, but every hotel says we must downsize our party. Are there not motels with adjoining rooms for large families?

Hi there Melissa! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  As a mom of four children, I completely understand your concern in finding a resort that will accommodate your entire family. I can assure you that the resorts on property do feature adjoining and "connecting rooms" which will accommodate large families. Most of the standard guest rooms accommodate four or five guests per room depending on the specific resort. I would recommend calling the Walt Disney Travel Company directly at (407) W-DISNEY between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. EST to book your rooms at one of the Walt Disney World Resorts. You will be able to speak to a friendly cast member over the phone allowing you the opportunity to explain your situation. The Walt Disney Travel Company will definitely be able to assist you in booking multiple rooms for your stay. I always call The Walt Disney Travel Company to book my resort reservation. Normally, room requests are not guaranteed. I called the Walt Disney Travel Company just now to verify my information for you. The cast member that I spoke with assured me that they do guarantee connecting rooms for families with children. The connecting rooms have an interior door that connects the two guests rooms.

You may also consider booking a two-bedroom villa at one of the Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts. The two-bedroom villas can accommodate up to eight or nine guests. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back if you have any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Melissa!
    Happy Planning,
