Hello! My husband and I are finally bringing our 5 year old twins to MK in October. The driving force behind this is their obsession with Ariel and the other princesses. I recently learned that Arie's grotto is closed where can we meet her in MK?

    Hi Candace,

I have twin girls as well, one of whom was spectacularly obsessed with Ariel when she was five. While Ariel's Grotto is now closed to make way for the massive Fantasyland expansion, there are still plenty of opportunities to see Ariel at Walt Disney World. She appears in many of the Magic Kingdom parades and the Fantasmic show at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Ariel even has her very own stage show at DHS.

There are also opportunities to meet Ariel in person. She regularly attends the Princess Storybook meals at the Akershus in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. This is a must-do for any Ariel fan. She also often appears with Prince Eric in a meet-and-greet spot in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom. Grab a copy of the free Times Guide when you enter the park for the exact schedule.

In addition to all that, there is a brand new Little Mermaid ride that will be opening at the Magic Kingdom during "holiday 2012." We don't have an exact date yet and we're not entirely sure which holiday they mean. No promises, but there is some small possibility that if you're arriving near Halloween, you may encounter some ride testing for this attraction.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
