    My husband, 11 y/o and I will be on an early excursion on Castaway Cay that my 16 y/o was not interested in. Can my older son get off the ship on his own to meet us on the island when we're done? As always, thank you for your knowledge!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am excited to hEAR you will be visiting one of my favorite ports in all the world, Castaway Cay!  

    Many guests like to have the flexibility to allow their older children some freedom, specifically when spending the day at Castaway Cay.  A parent or guardian may select permission for their minor child to go ashore on their own during the "Traveling with Minors" section of the Online Check-In process.  You can also complete the "Debarkation Authorization for Minors" form at the Guest Services Desk (Deck 3, Midship) once onboard to grant this same permission.

    If your son is interested in a Port Adventure of his own, check out The Wild Side Teen Adventure which provides an experience specific for his age while visiting Castaway Cay.  The Teen Hideout is another great place on the island for him to relax and unwind in paradise.
