Hi Kara!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We often like to travel to Walt Disney World in February to escape the snow of our Indiana winters. Last year we arrived on Valentine’s Day, for a much needed trip to visit the Florida sunshine and our favorite mouse.
To my knowledge, there haven’t been any major events to celebrate Valentine’s Day in the past, but you can usually find a nod to cupid here and there. Last year, there were several locations that featured specialty snacks and desserts. This post from the
Disney Parks Blog profiles some of these sweet treats. Personally, I can tell you that I have never had a bad experience with anything at Walt Disney World that involves red velvet or cream cheese icing!
Just for fun, we created a bit of our own Valentine magic, by designing and making Valentine themed shirts to wear in the parks. There are many shops online or on Etsy that create custom shirts for you, or you can make a trip to Pinterest and your local craft store to design your own! Also, you could schedule a romantic dinner for two to celebrate Valentine’s Day, either on the day, or even the weekend before. You might consider splurging at
Victoria & Albert’s, enjoy an amazing steak at
Le Cellier Steakhouse, or dine with a view at one of my favorites,
California Grill.
Whichever dates you choose, I wish you and your love a magical and romantic Disney Valentine’s Day!
