    My Husband and I are going down to Disney From Dec 26-Jan 2. We dont have a large budget and we were hoping to find out how we can take advantage of deals that may come up and where to find them.

    You have a couple of options, depending on your preference.

    The first is to do the legwork yourself. Websites like Allears.net, TheMouseForLess.com, and Mousesavers.com, in addition to the Walt Disney World website, will tell you about all the current specials and promotions. You need to check frequently as these change often, and you will will need to run the numbers each time to see if the current deal is better than what you've already booked.

    The second option is to use a travel agent who specializes in Disney vacations. They work at no charge to you, and they will search to find you the best deal when you book your trip. After that, they continue to look for better deals, and will notify you if something changes to your advantage. It could be that switching your arrival day will give you a discount, or moving to a different resort gets you free dining - the promos vary.

    I personally love using a Disney specialized travel agent, because it's less work for me. They find ways to save me money, and I get to focus on the fun planning (ie - spending money!) I have used Tim and Jenny at TheMouseYourWay.com for several years and have always been very happy, but there are lots of other Disney agents out there. Just be sure to do your research and only use an agent that specializes in Disney. You won't regret it! I have heard horror stories from guests who used a regular travel agent to book a Disney trip, and received bad advice that put a huge damper on their magical vacation.
